School's out!!!!!!

It's offically summer at our house! School was out on Friday and we were ready. They both received awards at the awards assembly and did very well on their CRCT tests. Dillon also tested for and received his green belt in karate on Saturday. Saturday was our 11 year anniversary also! Today is Dillon's 9th Birthday - it has gone by quickly(that must mean I am getting old). Since it's summer now, we started swim lessons today and they are excited to be working on diving after a quick review of all 6 strokes they know. I had better go apply more sunscreen to them - after all, I am still an Oliver at heart!!!

if it feels like summer?

So, if it feels like summer outside shouldn't it be summer? My kids certainly think so simce they are still in school for 2 more weeks. Ok - in the news........Dillon is at Camp Braveheart(camp for kids with heart problems) all week, I have a newphew that graduated from Marine corp boot camp(Spencer) and a nephew that was born on Saturday(Charles Grady Oliver)!!! Yea!! so, here are the nephew pics and a picture of Dillon(in the front) with his best friends wishing it was summer!!! I need to go plant some flowers because I planted wild flower seeds and I hate them, they just look like weeds!!!

Hope's surgery

Hope's surgery went well. She did ask if she could have her tonsils back in b/c they made her throat hurt taking them out! She had kind of a rough night with the pain and it is still hurting her today but she's drinking fine and eating yogurt so hopefully she will start feeling better soon. Thanks for your prayers. Now we just have to not drive each other crazy sitting home all week together with Dillon at school and Brian out of town all week!

Pretend this is a creative title

Hey, I have no creative title for this update so you will just have to use your imagination! The kids have been really busy at school with CRCT testing - no stress but you have to pass the test to go to the next grade! Besides that we have been enjoying the nice weather by trying to inhale as much pollen as possible daily(we disguse it as playing outside). I'm still keeping a little girl a couple days a week and it seems to be working out weel. Her mom's job is very flexible so if we have a Dr's appt or something I just drop her off for a little while. Brian is enjoying softball season and Hope is about to take a break from tumbling class because she is getting her tonsils out on Friday. She's a little scared because she's never had surgery and doesn't do all the "Dr Stuff" that Dillon does all the time. Hopefully it will go very well. Keep her in your prayers - she gets anxious easily.

...maybe for 3 years....

Well, Dillon has decided that if God could make it not rain for 3 years b/c the prophet Elijah prayed that he will also pray for that end. After much consideration (he decided he wanted to ski in lakes with water in them and also liked to have water to drink), he has narrowed his prayers down to just not rain this week. So far no rain for us this week which is making Spring Break much nicer and "Springier". I may not have to be comitted to an institution after all!! yay! the pics are of flipping on the trampoline

continuation of life...

Happy Late Easter!!! We had a great Easter weekend and are gearing up for a rainy Spring Break this week! Other than that everything is pretty much the same for our family. We do the same things.........most of the time. Brian and I went to Winterfest with our youth group and had a good time, it's been a number of years since I had been as a youth! Of course the picture was just the 2nd day so I still look alive! Hope had her best friend spend the night Friday night, her cousin tonight and tues, wed and Thursday we are hosting 3 boys from the Children of the World choir that is performing at our church this week. Oh, and in the spare time Bailey will be with us 2 days while her mom's at work and I'll be keeping a 2 yr old also! I will then be committed into an institution!! Hopefully it will all go smoothly- and not rain all week!!!
