Fall Break

McKinna, Hope, Bailey, Savanna and Holden ready to see Junie B Jones!

We are on Fall Break this week and have used it to have a thrilling week. Let's see: Monday~ Pacemaker check-up at children's Hospital; Tuesday~ Ped Cardiologist; Wednesday~ Flu shots and dentist; Thursday~ finally some fun for Hope..we went to see Junie B jones the play at the Classic Center( Dillon and Brian did not participate)! We have enjoyed sleeping later everyday and aren't looking forward to school starting back Monday! Aw well, that's life. I am getting a new neice or nephew in May...thanks Matt!:)

In a nutshell..

I think in a nutshell is an appropriate title b/c I feel a little nutty lately! I have am in my 3rdweek of a long term sub job for kindergarten so it's been busy everyday with me working. We got a new baby cousin for Hope and Dillon thanks to Brian's brother and his wife, Baby Sydney is beautiful! We have been sick but have avoided the flu, pneumonia and the stomach bug going around the school and just got a cough/fever thing instead! Hope is starting her orthodontics to make room for "big girl" teeth so the money from subbing will be very handy! Dillon found a frog that we wouldn't let him keep and is enjoying boy scouts. That's life in a nutshell!

Well, we are into our 4th week of school now and it is going ok. I have been subbing alot and the kids are semi-happy in their classes. I do wonder where we got Hope from though...if you knew me when I was little you know this picture is not a reflection of me!!

Back to school

Well it has happened...school has started. It was pretty sad to think that this is Dillon's last year in elementary school........sob.

Trip to Great-Grandma's

We went on Friday to visit with my grandma before school started back. It was a good trip and the kids got to spend time with their Great-Grandma and to play at my "old playground", the infamous creek!! I was thankful we got to spend that time with her.

Summer's over?!?!

It's hard to believe but school starts back on Monday, August 3rd. This feels like it has been an incredibly short summer (possibly because it was less than 2 months!) but I think it will be good for them to see other kids. They are getting a little tired of each other! On Friday we are going to take them to White Water since we never had a vacation this summer. I haven't been in about 40 pounds so it will certainly be interesting but the kids love the water so much I am sure they will have a blast!! By next week I will be posting back to school pics (if Dillon isn't too old in 5th grade) , I remember taking his 1st day of kindergarten pictures, how sad. Hopefully we will get to go visit Great-grandma this week also. Wish me luck getting every adjusted to waking up at 6:30am next week(esp. Hope!)!!!
